Welcome to my Thursday morning Marketing Blog.
Professional copywriters cost too much for small business owners.
We have to learn to write our own advertising copy.
That’s a plus. No one else has the same feel for our businesses.
No one else knows our clients was well as we do.
Most of us eat, sleep and breathe our businesses.
We’re the frontline people. We’re in the trenches.
We hear from our most important asset -- our clients.
Here’s a strategy that will work every time in writing ad copy.
What do you say to your prospects to convince them to buy?
What do your top sales people ask prospects in closing sales?
From that you can craft ads, sales letters, commercials, brochures.
In calling on our prospects, keep that simple strategy in mind.
What features, benefits and values close sales for you?
That’s what goes into your advertising copy.
It’s neither rocket science nor brain surgery.
It’s the field-tested stuff that works.

Flying into the future
Welcome to my Tuesday morning Business Blog.
Today we’ll talk about the importance of vision in business.
Remember the popular movie "Back to the Future"?
Business owners don’t need a special car to fly into the future.
All we need is imagination and the commitment to do it daily.
I fly into the future every night before I go to sleep.
I imagine how our multiple businesses will have grown.
I imagine how our people will have developed.
I imagine the value we give our customers over the years.
I imagine how we helped our community prosper.
I imagine how we have helped local charities.
I imagine what our family will be doing.
The trips we’ve taken. The fun we’ve had together.
You can do the same thing. Sure, it’s day dreaming. Why not?
To succeed, you must have a vision for the future.
Just close your eyes and make it happen.
