See if this business story makes any sense to you.
I know two business men who are really outstanding.
They give their clients lots of value for their money.
But both have an attitude. I mean a poor attitude.
Both have started to think they walk on water.
And it comes across in how they act with their clients.
You can attract clients without being a real person.
But it helps. People do business with real people.
If you’re high and mighty, you will lose them.
This pair will eventually hurt themselves.
Just alienate enough clients with a rotten attitude.
See where that gets you in business and in life.
That’s a valuable reminder to the rest of us.
Keep your feet on the ground 24/7.
Even when your head is in the clouds.

What does 2010 hold for us?
All right. Get your thinking caps on.
What challenges will we face in 2010?
How are we prepared to deal with them?
What opportunities will come our way in 2010?
How can we take maximum advantage of them?
These are four critical questions to answer.
Without foresight and a plan, we’re lost.
Each year we gather civic leaders and ask them.
They may not be reincarnations of Nostrodamus.
But they’re smart, savvy, thoughtful people.
They include CEOs and business owners.
Politicians, educators, chamber leaders.
If you’re in our area, here’s an invitation.
Join us Jan. 13 to hear what seven experts think.
They will forecast their own ideas on 2010.
They’ll discuss how to handle major challenges.
How to take advantage of major opportunities.
It will be at the Lexington, S.C., Conference Center.
