Here’s a story you can apply to your career and your life.
Founder Steve Jobs returned to Apple 12 years ago.
The company was in trouble. It’s competition had surged ahead.
Jobs went back to basics: Create "insanely great" products.
That’s what had made Apple a market leader. Could it again?
Jobs didn’t know but he was betting the ranch it would.
He axed many questionable projects. He sought a new focus.
He focused on the successful iMac and new iPod.
Jobs’ quest for greatness inspired his colleagues.
Profits followed. So did a passion for Apple in the market.
Jobs tapped Apple employees’ hearts and souls.
They saw the chance for greatness and took it.
Keith Yamashita and Sandra Spataro tell this story in "Unstuck".
This book shows how to get your team unstuck and going again.
Where do you feel passion in your work and your life?
How many others share it? Can you rally them to your mission?
How will you do it? By personal example? By communicating?
By bringing people together for a shared passion and mission?
When others see your passion, they will be attracted to you.
Think about who and what it will take to turn dreams into reality.
Think about how to use technology to attract them.

Stage your own moonshot
Welcome to my Tuesday morning Business Blog.
Last month we discussed flying into the future to create vision.
Today I want you to think about staging your own moonshot.
You must help your people envision your moonshot landing.
They must be able to imagine where it will take all of you.
That’s a thought from a new book, "Unstuck".
The authors are Keith Yamashita and Sandra Spataro,
Their advice is an easy one: Write a headline from the future.
What does it say about how your business will look in 5 years?
In 10? 20? 50? Even think about 100. Yes, 100.
The chairman of Sony once told a reporter he had a 100-year plan.
Wow! That’s vision. Does it make you want to dream, too?
What does your headline say about what your team achieved?
The "Unstuck" authors advise: Back it out, step by step.
What will it take for you to go from now to that future vision?
Let that rattle around in your brain for a few days,
Do a little day dreaming. Let your subsconscious mind work on it.
With vision and commitment, your team can go anywhere.
