Create a memorable impression

Last time we talked about developing an attitude of gratitude.
This week we’ll talk about creating memorable impressions.
A thunderstorm did some damage at our house recently.
We called 13 electricians before finding one to come the next day.
The next morning he called to ask if it was OK to come early.
The electrician, Daryl Nedbalek, quickly made the repairs.
He left a magnetized business card and packet of breath mints.
Both bear his company name and contact information.
A half hour later, the company called to check our satisfaction.
Two days later, a thank you card arrived with Daryl’s photo on it.
Enclosed was a mailback card asking nine questions.
The ninth question: Would you recommend us to your friends?
Who will we call the next time we have a problem? You bet.
Now think about this: Daryl’s system made a lasting impression.
What can you do to make a lasting impression on your clients?
What kind of system do you have and how can you improve it?
A copy of "Lead People, Manage Things" to the best suggestion.

P.S. If you’re in the S.C. Midlands, come to my autograph party.
It’s noon - 2 Saturday at Lexington’s Family Christian Store.
That’s at 5541 Sunset Blvd (U.S. 378) across from Wal-Mart.
I’ll autograph copies of my books for you as Christmas gifts.
