Why find your purpose in life?

Our Creator gave each of us a great purpose in life.
It’s up to us to figure it out and do something about it.
In "The Purpose-Driven Life", Rick Warren writes:
• Purpose will give your life greater meaning.
Without purpose, life has little meaning.
We would feel hopeless if we lived without purpose.
What great purpose will give your life meaning?
• Purpose will simplify your life.
You must learn when to say "yes" and when to say "no".
You can’t do everything you or others want you to do.
You have to make choices — often difficult choices.
Just ask, "Will this help me fulfill my purpose in life?"
• Purpose will sharpen your focus.
With a clear purpose, there is no need to change directions.
With a clear purpose, you know where you’re going.
Hold yourself accountable. If you don’t, no one else will.
• Purpose will motivate you.
Nothing will energize you like a clear purpose.
This is true joy, playwright George Bernard Shaw wrote.
"Being used for a purpose you recognize as a mighty one."
• Purpose will help you prepare for eternity.
Our life here on earth is only a dress rehearsal.
That means we should make the most of life.
Most of us will have 70 or more years in this life.
While we are here, we should prepare for eternal life.
