A great role model

Do you sometime feel that you’re treated like a dog?
I don’t mean kindly but abused, ignored, unappreciated.
My wife’s mother passed this little gem of wisdom along.
If a dog was your teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Feel the fresh air and wind in your face. It’s pure ecstasy.
Take naps. Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily. Let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, lie on your back in the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a tree.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you’re not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, nuzzle them gently.
Enjoy every moment of every day.
Aren’t we lucky to have such great role models in our lives?

That sounds like a cool dog. Wish my dog had learned that stuff. Right now it's eat shoes, eat the remote control, and jump up on every visitor. Better than before though, when it was eat the carpeting, and poop on the floor...But as we all get older we all get better!
