Stage your own moonshot

Welcome to my Tuesday morning Business Blog.
Last month we discussed flying into the future to create vision.
Today I want you to think about staging your own moonshot.
You must help your people envision your moonshot landing.
They must be able to imagine where it will take all of you.
That’s a thought from a new book, "Unstuck".
The authors are Keith Yamashita and Sandra Spataro,
Their advice is an easy one: Write a headline from the future.
What does it say about how your business will look in 5 years?
In 10? 20? 50? Even think about 100. Yes, 100.
The chairman of Sony once told a reporter he had a 100-year plan.
Wow! That’s vision. Does it make you want to dream, too?
What does your headline say about what your team achieved?
The "Unstuck" authors advise: Back it out, step by step.
What will it take for you to go from now to that future vision?
Let that rattle around in your brain for a few days,
Do a little day dreaming. Let your subsconscious mind work on it.
With vision and commitment, your team can go anywhere.
